The iPhone could be the best selling smartphone out in the market right now. However, the price is a little bit stiff for someone who is earning just enough to get by. I myself cannot afford to get my own iPhone.
I recently got my hands on an iPod touch 4th generation. As I was comparing what the iPhone has and what the iPod doesn't, I realized that the only thing an iPhone has over an iPod is a SIM card. Then I got to think that if I had my iPod connected to a wifi source then I could make calls through FaceTime or applications like Viber. I could also send messages through iMessage or Viber, Facebook and Twitter.
There are gadgets available in the market that lets you connect to the internet wirelessly called pocket wifi. One can also purchase a device called a remote bluetooth SIM kit. This device holds your SIM card and connects it to your iPod vis bluetooth. With these combinations of gadgets, it's like you have an iPhone too! Cheaper yet as powerful!
This blog was made on my iPod. The pictures were copied from the internet using my iPod's safari. The photos were then edited on an application on my iPod.
I can do what you can do on your iPhone. Maybe even more!

On-line surprise
Facebook.com connects…..
When I was growing up in manila, I had a neighbor who I
considered my best friend. His family used to rent a space in our ancestral
house, back when our place felt huge, big enough for our family with extra
space to rent out for two more families.
My best friend who is fondly called Ameng by his family and friends is
the same age as I am. Ameng and I would
often play with other kids around our house.
We played all sorts of games the whole day only having time outs to eat.
When we were around eight or nine years old, his family
decided to move out and live somewhere else.
That only meant we would not see each other again. As days and years went by, I received a
letter from him. Since it was my first time to open a letter, I immediately
ripped open the envelope and threw it away. Thus losing his address, and that
was the last time I heard of him.
Years passed and the Internet came. Social networking sites were born, like
Friendster, Myspace, Facebook and twitter, to mention a few. Everybody seems to be online. Everybody had
their own e-mail address but still I didn’t hear anything from Ameng.
Just recently, while online, checking on my timeline on
Facebook, reading updates from my friends, a friend request popped up. Without
hesitation I opened it up and to my surprise, it was a friend request from no
other than my childhood best friend Ameng.
Through Facebook I have re-connected and stayed connected
with friends olad and new. I also gained
new friends and learned a lot from their experiences that they share through
their status updates.
Facebook connects and re-connects!

Making money
Make money online, I've seen this phrase a thousand times over. I have read articles online, watched television segments, heard it on the radio and so on.
I have been jobless for two months now, since I came back from Indonesia, where I taught science to grade school and high school students. Today I scanned through a job listing website and learned that most of the available jobs are for call centers. I have worked at a call center before and I have learned a lot from the experience, some are good and some are bad. I have nothing against call centers but I think it's just not my cup of tea. I don't even like tea that much. Ha Ha Ha!
Some people say, "Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life." So I asked myself, what do you love? I love dogs and I love to cook but I cant freaking cook dogs!!! I like surfing the internet, read stuff, I like high tech stuff, I use search engines a lot. Why not make money online.
Here I go trying to make money online. Registered to an online jobs listing, started a blog, applied for various article writing. I just hope I can make money online.

K-9
The
Philippines has increased the use of K-9 dogs for security purposes inside
malls, office buildings, both private and public, and in train and bus stations.
Generally, crowded places. K-9 dogs that are used in the Philippines are mostly
trained for bomb sniffing due to the rise of terrorist attacks in the country.
The most common breed used in the archipelago is the Belgian Malinois also
known as the Belgian Shepherd dog. Most people mistake the term K-9 for the dog
breed and some also think that all dogs can be trained to sniff out bombs.
Unfortunately, only a few dogs have the intelligence and the drive to pass the
training. Breeding a male and a female bomb sniffing dog will not even assure
you that one of the puppies in the litter can pass the training.

Remembering the greatest
Yesterday was my grandfather's death anniversary and it made me remember
how great he was, the best grandfather or "Lolo", in the vernacular.
He was a father, a friend, a teacher, a philosopher, a lawyer, a boxer and a
wrestling fan. He was different, eccentric to a point. He was so different that his heart was
located at the right of his chest and his stomach was inverted.
Basically, I learned to speak English from him, my grandfather, because
he would not talk to us in the vernacular, which is Tagalog or Filipino. I am a
dog lover because of him, which made me memorize almost all of the dog breeds
that helped me when I opened a pet grooming shop a few years back.
I hope I had the same discipline that he had when it came to following
what the doctor ordered. He was so good at it that he lived long enough to
enjoy his great grandchildren.
I miss you Lolo! You’re the Greatest!
